Salt Water Reef Aquariums
When
we talk about Salt Water Reef Aquariums, we usually mean beautiful,
exotic under water scenes with smaller/peaceful live fish and a
wide variety of living corals and other living decor.
Most people want a Salt Water Reef Aquarium because:
1. It recreates, as much as possible, the actual look of reefs
seen while SCUBA diving.
2. Reefs are best for clients who are interested in the small and
even tiny critters such as yellow sponges that spontaneously appear
and the way mushroom corals divide to multiply.
3.
The fish come in a wide variety of unusual shapes and colors.
4. The combination of an exotic live scene and brilliant fish is
fascinating.
5. The Reef Aquarium is best when it will be enjoyed “up
close and personal”.
6. It is the state of the art in today’s aquariums.
The Salt Water Reef Aquarium requires the most sophisticated life
support system of all. Even the lighting is considered part of the
life support system. We usually service Salt Water Reef Aquariums
every week. Salt Water Reef Aquariums are more expensive than
Salt Water Fish Aquariums and also require some time for the reef
and the filtration system to mature to the point where it can take
care of the waste products of the fish and critters. Reef aquariums
require a higher intensity of lighting than any other style, therefore
they usually require a chiller and it is best to design them to
be shallower than the typical salt water fish aquarium.
