When experience counts, Aquatic Associates, LLC is Decades ahead!

Rhena Symmes, a principle in the company, has special training in fish nutrition. She manufactures custom frozen foods for your salt water fish or reef aquarium which are delivered monthly to our regular maintenance accounts to assure maximum nutritional value. She is also one of the first people in the state (1984) to be certified in Fish Health Management by the University of Georgia. She is one of our principal aquarists and also is office manager. She is past president of the Greater Atlanta Aquarium Society.

Ed Symmes, founder of Aquatic Associates, LLC in 1966 with two other advanced hobbyists, is an award winning designer, author, and photographer. He has written for several aquarium publications, including the Journal of the Fish Farmers of Florida. He is in charge of installations and creative décor. He is also certified in Fish Health Management by the University of Georgia. He is another principal aquarist, and also past president of the Greater Atlanta Aquarium Society.

Cynthia Bugg is the operations manager of our quarantine facility and assists other aquarists with installations and maintenance as well as office/accounting work. She grew up in a household of aquarium hobbyists. She has worked for Aquatic Associates since the early 80’s..
